Self Employment

Every year thousands of people set up their own businesses – but it isn’t easy... starting up on your own can be stressful, will take some cash, lots of commitment and hard work. If your ambition is to be your own boss there is plenty of advice and help out there for you. The books and websites listed below will give you examples of other young people who have started their own businesses and tons of hints and tips. You can get in touch with Northumberland Business Link on 01670 813322 or  Learning and Skills Council North East (LSC) 0845 0194181 for more advice. Banks and building societies have business advisers who can help you with the finances.

If you want to talk this option over with your Personal Adviser – get in touch or you can ring Connexions Direct on 080 800 13219
