e2e (Entry to Employment)
If you’re aged 16 to 18, not participating in any form of learning and would like to learn new skills, but you’re not sure what, then e2e could be the right thing for you.
e2e gives you some direction and extra support. With the help of a Connexions PA and a learning provider, a programme will be personally tailored to suit YOUR needs.

Can I Get a Qualification on e2e?
On e2e, you will be encouraged to work towards some form of qualification but which one you do is up to you. You might want to try units towards an NVQ, Key Skill awards, a first aid or food hygiene certificate, the European Computer Driving Licence or another qualification.
Do I Get Paid on e2e?
If you start an e2e course after June 30th 2008 you'll receive the maximum EMA payment of £30 per week. EMA is paid in addition to any other benefits you and your family receive including Child Benefit, Income Support and Tax Credits. Bonus payments are available. Speak to Connexions or to the Benefits Team at your local Jobcentre Plus.
What Hours Would I be Working?
You’d attend e2e for at least 16 hours per week, building up to full-time learning over time. Within 22 weeks you could progress into employment, employment with training, an Apprenticeship or Further Education.
Where Would I Go To Take Part in e2e?
e2e is carried out in learning centres around Northumberland. You would usually go to the closest one to where you live. If you do have to travel, any excessive travel costs will be refunded to you.
