Parents and Carers of Young People aged 16+

If your son or daughter is aged 16 or over they can still get help from Connexions until they are 19 (or 25 if they have special needs). They may have stayed on at school, started college or a job or apprenticeship. There are still more decisions for them to make.

Getting There

Connexions Northumberland has produced Getting There, a booklet for 16/17 year olds in school or college in the county, to help them think about their next steps. The booklet is full of information on higher education, the job market locally, nationally and globally, decision making, applications and interviews, money matters and contact addresses. There are hints and tips, quizzes, plans and check lists to work through.

Getting There will be distributed to all Year 12 students at school as well as young people at college.
