parents & carers

Parents/carers
Connexions Northumberland aims to support young people to make informed decisions about their future. However, we recognise that we are only one of a number of sources of help and that most young people turn to families when they want help to make important decisions. Surveys of young people indicate that the strongest influence on their career and learning decisions is their family, so this part of the site is to give you help and information, to help you support your young person.
If you would like to speak to your child’s Connexions Personal Adviser, they will be happy to see you at most High School parents’ evenings and no appointment is normally needed. They also attend some school information evenings. If your child has a statement of Special Educational Need, their Connexions Personal Adviser will be present at those meetings. If your child is not at school you can still speak to a Personal Adviser at your local Connexions Centre. Please feel free to contact Connexions Northumberland on 01670 798180 and we will do our best to help you.
