Activity Surveys
Every year, Connexions Northumberland collects information about the current activity and destination of every young person living in Northumberland who was eligible to leave full-time education. This information is gathered by contacting young people by letter and telephone and by schools, colleges and training providers. Every Connexions Service has a contractual obligation to collect Year 11 data.
In addition we follow up the activity and destination of young people resident in Northumberland and attending Northumberland schools progressing from Year 12 and 13. The activity of all young people resident in Northumberland is tracked until their 19th birthday to identify and help those young people who become Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). As a result of regular follow up of young people we are able to contribute to local and county levels of opportunity planning and provision.
