Welcome to our website!  

Connexions Northumberland is a local service for young people aged 13-19 years (up to age 25 for people with special needs). We are here to help them and their parents or carers with decision making about study, jobs and careers by offering impartial information, advice, guidance and personal support.

The past year has seen a strengthening of Connexions’ position within the Families and Children’s Trust (FACT) and Northumberland Strategic Partnership (NSP), and it has confirmed our status as the transition service for all young people. This was demonstrated by our key role in the development of both Having a Life, the Children and Young People’s Plan, and Working Together, the county’s Local Area Agreement.  In addition, there was a decrease in the proportion of young people not in education, employment and training (NEET) and we performed well against our key performance indicators.

We now look forward to working within igen to continue to develop our role with ISYP and improve services for young people.
